According to our man on the ground in Russia Andrew Butler, to the tune of Earth, Wind and Fire’s September, it goes a bit like this:

Time for a quick run through the many benefits of selecting Edinson Cavani.

Let’s start with the fact he’s coming off the back of a 40-goal season for PSG.

Take that, Guingamp!REUTERS

“Anyone can score in a farmers league,” we hear you mutter.

Okay, how about the fact he scored seven goals in eight games in the Champions League, a competition generally considered to be free of agricultural workers?

His international record is more relevant though right?

You’ll be pleased to hear he was the top scorer in South American qualifying.

Ten goals put him comfortably ahead of Lionel Messi, Alexis Sanchez, Gabriel Jesus and the rest.

Forget the past, let’s look to the immediate future.

Uruguay have been gifted about as easy of a group as you could hope for at a World Cup.

They play Egypt first, who are likely to be without the recovering Mohamed Salah, before facing Saudi Arabia and a hopeless Russia side.

Cavani could plunder five goals in the group stages alone.

Some of you are probably hesitant to put him in your team because of doubts about how he can co-exist with Luis Suarez.

It’s a fair point.

In the past, Cavani has been made to play out left to accommodate the Barcelona goal machine.

These days however, the two form a lethal striker partnership.

If anything, Cavani is the man tasked with providing the finishing touch.

Double troubleEPA

And finally… at £5.0m he’s very affordable.

Robert Lewandowski, Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero are all priced higher than El Matador and face tougher opponents in the group stages.

To summarise, we’ve got an in-form forward, playing in his preferred position, for a team who are heavy favourites to top their group.

And at £1.0m cheaper than his equals to boot.

Got to be worth a punt, surely?

Brazil’s youngest ever captain played for Inter Milan’s galacticos but remains relatively unknown

Dream Team FC
Brazil’s youngest ever captain played for Inter Milan’s galacticos but remains relatively unknown

Jose Elias Moedim Junior.

The name might not instantly ring bells, but Ze Elias has many a story to tell when he looks back on his football career.

He spent 16 years as a professional footballer, representing 12 different clubs and earning ten caps for the Brazilian national team.

But that only tells half the tale.

DREAM TEAM WORLD CUP Click here to sign up for this summer’s brilliant game The boy from Brazil

The reason why Ze Elias goes down in footballing history, at least for the moment, is that he’s the youngest ever player to captain Brazil’s national side.

On 27 September 1995 Ze Elias captained a side containing future World Cup winners Dida and Edilson as well as Ze Roberto, a player who would go on to pick up 84 caps for Brazil.

The young side, coached by the legendary Mario Zagallo who was preparing for the 1996 Olympics, held Romania to a 2-2 draw in Belo Horizonte.

Brazil only picked up a bronze medal at the ’96 Olympics, with Nwankwo Kanu helping Nigeria win gold.

It was deemed a failure back home, given Brazil could call upon Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Bebeto and Juninho, but Ze Elias had still done enough to earn a lucrative move to Europe ahead of the 1996/97 season.

He joined Bayer Leverkusen from Corinthians, the club he’d made a breakthrough at as a 17-year-old, slotting into a midfield role.

The season would end up in disappointment as Bayern Munich won the title by two points but, yet again, Ze Elias had caught the eye.

At the age of 21 Ze Elias signed for Inter Milan’s ‘galacticos’- arguably Europe’s most eye-catching squad.

The Javier Zanetti school of haircutsAP:Associated Press

He could call upon Ronaldo, Alvaro Recoba, Kanu, Ivan Zamorano, Youri Djorkaeff, Diego Simeone, Paulo Sousa, Aron Winter and Taribo West as team-mates.

While first-team opportunities were hard to come by during the 1997/98 campaign, Ze Elias did start the 1998 UEFA Cup final win over Lazio.

His task on that night was to stop Lazio’s midfield mavericks Pavel Nedved and Roberto Mancini playing, which he did to aplomb.

Zamorano’s fifth minute goal settled the nerves before Javier Zanetti and Ronaldo stuck to put the icing on the cake and secure Ze Elias his first European honour.

Not a bad side that

Unfortunately that was as good as it got for the Brazilian.

With playing time limited by Simeone and Winter, as well as Frenchman Benoit Cauet, Ze Elias was forced to leave the club at the end of his next season, in which Inter finished trophyless.

The year 1999 would also mark the last of Ze Elias’ ten caps for Brazil.

Ze Elias embarked on a globetrotting career after leaving Inter, playing for Olympiakos, Genoa, Santos, Metalurh Donetsk, Guarani, Omonia, Londrina and Rhiendorf Altach before retiring in 2009.

If your name’s not down you’re not coming in Some iconic boots on show

For a career that started so promisingly, Ze Elias petered out away from the heights that some of his former team-mates reached.

But he was by no means a failure.

He could look back on a trophy cabinet that included three domestic honours from Brazil, one UEFA Cup, three Greek league titles and a Greek FA Cup.

Until someone younger comes along he’ll always be able to tell anyone who’ll listen that he’s the youngest skipper in the history of the Brazilian national team.

Not a bad claim to fame.

Each manager can enter a maximum of 10 teams while there is no option to buy more teams.

One extremely exciting new feature is the expansion beyond a UK audience, with fantasy football fans worldwide now able to enter.

Only UK players will be eligible to win the tasty £175,000 prizepot, with £100,000 going to the winner and the rest divided between the next nine highest scores.

The last few details are being finalised by the Dream Team World Cup game officially launches on June 1.

If you are an existing Dream Team player you will be able to register before that, with the World Cup game appearing on the Dream Team app next to Season and Weekender.

What new features are there?

Aside from the introduction of non-UK players, we’ve also got a snazzy new formation to try out.

As well as the traditional 4-4-2 and 4-3-3, Dream Team World Cup will also see 3-4-3 become an option to maximise more attacking players.

Which players will I be able to pick? Ronaldo will be hoping to replicate Portugal’s Euro 2016 successAFP or licensors

Yep, all your favourites are in there.

Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Jordan Henderson… you name them, they’re all included.

Every manager will have a budget of £50m to spend which means they’ll need an eye for a bargain to accommodate all the big boys.

And we’ve just revealed that Messi – not Ronaldo – will be the most expensive player on the game at £8m.

Will Rodriguez shine again? Who were the best players at the last World Cup?

Remember last time? Germany were great, James Rodriguez was brilliant and England were… let’s not go there.

Brazil hosted a sublime tournament in 2014, jam-packed with entertainment right up until Mario Gotze’s brilliant extra time winner against Argentina in the final.

Colombian hero Rodriguez won the Golden Boot, but who else took the competition by storm?

Here are the top 10 points scorers from the last Dream Team World Cup.

Have you picked a witty and original team name yet? Vintage

Because ultimately what’s the point without one?

‘Barry’s Boys’ just doesn’t cut it anymore, so thinking outside the box is crucial to avoid ridicule in your mini-league.

Tika Mo Salah, When Harry Met Alli… we’ve seen some crackers already but there’s plenty of room for improvement.

Luckily for you lot we’ve provided an extensive guide of all the best we’ve seen so far.

England are winning it, aren’t they? Welbeck over Ronaldo any dayPA:Empics Sport

Of course they are.

Germany might be reigning champions, Spain might have eight world class midfielders and Argentina might have a man called Messi, but it’s time to end the 50-years of hurt.

England have some exciting young players capable of hurting anyone on their day.

And, although we wouldn’t recommend it, you can actually submit a Dream Team consisting entirely of England players if you really fancied it.
